On The Line
“.. stylistically David Myles is a little bit jazz, a little bit folk, a little bluesy and a lot easy-going charm with solid singing and arranging. It’s a pretty compelling package and his third release, On The Line masterfully brings all those elements together.”

“On the Line, is a solid third LP that capitalizes on Myles local momentum quite nicely. The guitar-drum duet at the very beginning of opener "I Don’t Want To Know" makes a declarative statement of sorts, underscored by Myles first reference to the albums title: There’s too much on the line, there’s too much at stake. It comes up again on the smoky hinge track, Cape Breton, an ode to Myles love that recalls the first time they kissed: With our minds on our hearts/and our hearts on the line.
“Myles is a charming songwriter who writes tunes of love, life’s troubles and hope that are easy to relate to. The various guests each offer a taste of their own styles as well and enhance each song here and there, but this is really Myles’ show. A really enjoyable album.”
