...

Hey folks,
Welcome to my blog. That’s right, I’m going to try to stay a bit more connected from here on in. I just thought it be fun to have a spot that was a bit less formal where I can post little video things, photos of tours, studio stuff, demos, etc.  Basically anything I feel like on any particular day.  Should be fun. Anyway, for now, the word is I’m back from being out west.  Hanging out in Halifax (where I live).  It’s really nice to be back.  Shows out west went great.  I opened a couple for Jill Barber.  They were super fun.  One in Victoria and one in Vancouver.  Here’s a photo of the venue (Alix Goolden Auditorium) we played at in Victoria.

It was sweet. Also during my time in Vancouver I got to meet the legendary David Suzuki. I went to the David Suzuki foundation and played some tunes for them, right there in their office.  Mr. Suzuki and I got to chat a bit before I rocked it.  He was super nice and I tried to convince him that my tune "I Don’t Wanna Know" was a climate change anthem ready for the world.  We’ll see.  I gave him a copy.  I can see him rocking out to it in his hybrid car right now.  It’s a beautiful thing. Today, I’m in the studio.  Yesterday, Kyle Cunjak (my bass player), Charles Austin (my studio brother) and I started in on some recording.  It was really fun.  We’re working on a cover tune right now (I’ll keep the name of a tune a mystery) but what makes it really exciting is that Buck 65 is going to be adding a verse of his brilliant lyrical skills to it. I can’t wait. Of course, I’ll keep you posted.  Here’s a photo of Kyle and Chuck working it at the studio yesterday.

That’s about it for today.  I’ll be talking with you soon.
thanks for the visit.
