How are you? Big things going on at Camp David these days. First off, I have a new song coming out May 3rd!! It’s called “Not This Time”. It’s about a stressed out dad who’s tired of saying yes to everyone and dreams of chilling out and partying again. Not at all autobiographical! Ha! I loved writing this one and my buddy Classified loved it right away too, so I knew he was the man for the job of producing it (perhaps he could relate to the theme as well!).
After a run of great shows I’m ready to hunker down and write. I love these moments. I swear it’s what keeps everything going for me. That feeling when a new song begins to take shape never gets old. I’ve been addicted to it since the first song I ever wrote. I’m recording a new full length record in June. Gonna make it count.
Happy New Year, everyone! I love this time of year; making resolutions, getting all geared up for another year and also enjoying some crucial downtime at home. I’m so enjoying it. But first I just wanted to thank you for all your support in 2018. It was an amazing year. We played super sweet shows at the Montreal Jazz Festival, the Philadelphia Folk Festival, toured in Quebec a bunch and I released my first French record (which was listed as one of the 50 Best Albums of the Year by ICI Musique!!) I also started a weekly radio show on CKUA called Myles From Home which airs Saturdays at 8am AST,
