It’s been a great week. I recorded my New Brunswick CBC SongQuest song about the Hopewell Rocks. Had a blast back in Fredericton recording it with my great friends Kyle Cunjak and Alan Jeffries. We took over a small clothing store downtown (thanks to ReNeu Boutique) and with the genius engineering skills of Brad Perry made it happen in one night. Wicked. It was a late one but it worked. The next day Brad mixed the tune and within a few days it hit the airwaves. I’m really happy with it. It’s a fun one to play and sing. Over the last week it’s been played on CBC quite a bit and is now available on itunes to purchase here. In other news, I was lucky enough on Monday night to co-host the SOCAN awards at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto. It was amazing. I co-hosted with Barney Bentall (who’s one of the coolest dudes ever) and Carolyn Dawn Johnson (also wicked). I got to present awards to Gordon Lightfoot, Tom Cochrane, 54-40 and Glass Tiger! It was wild. I was terrified but it worked out. Anyway, for this week I thought it would be appropriate to include a photo from my trip to the Hopewell Rocks.
Talk to you soon,
thanks for the visit,
