I have just returned from a few weeks on the road and I’m feeling good. It was a great trip. Thanks so much to everyone who came out or told their friends to come out. It was awesome seeing everyone. I got to play some really fun band shows in Ontario and Alberta and did a couple of great opening spots for a group named Dala (who were awesome) at the Banff Centre and The Arden Theatre (both wicked venues!). So all in all, I can’t complain. Thanks also to all the university presenters that had me in to play. It was a definite change of scenary for me (a bit of a trip back in time) and it turned out to be a great time.
After a couple days back in the Maritimes to catch up on some sleep I was out again to do a pair of shows with my friend Damnhait Doyle. I have attached a photo of the Playhouse show in Fredericton from last week (taken by Alan Jeffries, legendary guitar player). It was a career highlight for me. Getting to come back to my hometown for a show, with a band of super close friends, at the venue where I saw my first concert as a kid (The Barenaked Ladies in Grade 3 or 4) was unreal. The crowd was so awesome and I got to catch up with everyone; childhood friends, my Grade 1 teacher, my dentist, my parent’s carpenter, they were all there. Awesome. Thank you so much to everyone who came out. I won’t soon forget it. I can’t wait to do it again.
I hope you’re doing well. Thanks again for the visit.
