I’m back from perhaps the wickedest trip of my life. I was in India for the last two and a half weeks of October and it was a beauty. Had a great time. What a fascinating and exciting place to visit. Spent about 4 days in Mumbai, down to Goa for 5 days then down to Kerala in the far south of India for 5 more days. Brilliant. Thanks to Anamitra and Preeti for inviting me to their wonderful wedding (the reason for the trip) and to our incredible hosts Jaideep and Becca. I put together a little video of clips taken on my camera. The music is that of my good friend and drummer Joshua Van Tassel (www.joshuavt.com). Check it out.
In other news, I am very pleased to let you know that I have been chosen to represent New Brunswick in the Great Canadian SongQuest on CBC (http://www.cbc.ca/radio2/songquest/). I’m honoured. Thanks to everyone who voted.
I’ll be writing a song on the Hopewell Rocks (it was the location in New Brunswick that was voted the winner). It should be fun. I’ll keep you posted.
Right now, I’m the depths of record making. I started making my new record three days ago. So far so good. It’s been going really well. The band is kicking butt and working with Joel Plaskett (who’s producing the record) has also been a blast. He’s one heck of a hard working dude and has more ideas than imaginable. Very fun.
Anyway, I best be off. I’ve got some hits to lay down!!
Thanks so much for the visit.
