CBC: A little David Myles love for Valentine's

February 14, 2015

_MG_0510-2Aw, who loves ya, baby? You know it’s loverboy himself, David Myles. He’s a sucker for sentiment, especially holidays, and he has a special thing for Valentine’s Day. He wants to plant a big smooch on the whole world, and what better way than a musical gift for all.

He’s laid down a new, acoustic version of his cut “I Wouldn’t Dance,” from his album In The Nightime, and is sharing it for free. It was cut with his band (Kyle Cunjak, bass, Alan Jeffries, guitar) in January, part of a session where they laid down new, acoustic versions of a large batch of his tracks. They are, for now, destined for an album for the U.S. that gives an introduction/overview to new audiences there. No doubt more of these make-overs will appear in other ways over the coming months.

So spread the love, and it’s not going to be long before Myles returns to New Brunswick for some shows. He’s doing a series of concerts with Symphony New Brunswick in a couple of months. Myles and SNB will be at the Capitol Theatre in Moncton on April 13, The Playhouse in Fredericton April 14, and The Imperial in Saint John on April 15.
