He’s back singing for his supper again. Favourite son David Myles is doing his tour of the province again this December, singing for New Brunswick foodbanks. Last Christmas season, Myles started what he promised would become a tradition, and now he’s made good on his pledge. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, he’ll be in area shopping centres, playing a free concert over the noon hour. All you have to do is bring something for the food banks, whether its non-perishable foot items, or good ol’ cash.
It’s called the Singing For Supper tour. You can see Myles at the Champlain Mall in Dieppe from 12 – 1:30 PM Monday, Dec. 12, in Saint John at McAllister Place Mall again starting at noon, and then on Wednesday he’ll be in Fredericton’s Regent Mall, from 12 – 1:30.
If you can’t make it out to the events, but still want to help out, why not treat yourself to a little of Myles’ music? This year, he’s also recorded a couple of versions of a Christmas classic, one of his favourites, “I’ll Be Home For Christmas”. There’s a slow version, and an uptempo one, so you can take your pick, or enjoy both. You can get them on iTunes, or go directly from his website, www.davidmyles.com. Again, buying these songs means money for NB foodbanks. Oh, and CBC is a proud sponser. Merry Myles!
