Turn Time Off with David Myles
at The Carleton in Halifax
November 29, 30 and December 1

November 9, 2010 – Halifax, NS – Newly minted Music Nova Scotia Male Artist of the Year, David Myles will perform for three nights only at The Carleton in Halifax on November 29, 30 and December 1 with musicians Kyle Cunjak and Alan Jeffries.

After a very successful tour opening for Joel Plaskett at theatres in Ontario and three weeks headlining at colleges, Myles returned to Nova Scotia this weekend to perform at the Music Nova Scotia Gala Awards Show in Yarmouth where he picked up awards for both Male Artist of the Year and Folk Artist Recording of the Year for Turn Time Off. His producer Joel Plaskett was awarded Producer of the Year for his contribution to the recording. Turn Time Off has received rave reviews from critics and fans alike and has garnered Myles a nomination for Solo Artist of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards.

This fall, Myles opened for Natalie MacMaster, performed at the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival in Fredericton and the Deep Roots Festival in Wolfville. In November he heads to the UK to once again open for the legendary Jools Holland at exhibitions in Scotland and England. Myles brings his audiences to their feet wherever he plays.
His unabashed joy at being on stage is infectious and his enthusiasm, along with a tendency to regale his audiences with humorous anecdotes, has made him a crowd favourite.
