ECMAs, Voting and Other Goodies
As some of you know, I’ve been nominated for three East Coast Music Awards this year! It’s awesome. Entertainer of the Year, Male Artist of the Year and Folk Recording of the Year. I’m really pumped. To add to all of this, I’m also eligible to win this year’s Fan’s Choice Award… with your help of course.
So, if you’d be so kind, it would be great if you’d go to http://www.cbc.ca/eastcoastmusic, then scroll down the list of artists’ names ’til you see mine and click away! Tell your friends, spread the word. The more votes the better. This year’s awards are taking place in Newfoundland in just a couple of weeks. I’m playing a bunch of shows that weekend and will be performing on the CBC television broadcast as well! Watch out.
In other news, I’m heading to Memphis next week for the North American Folk Alliance where I’ll be showcasing. Then, I go to Alberta for a couple of shows, Calgary on Feb. 23 and Canmore on Feb. 24, then to Vancouver on Feb. 25 for a show at the Waterfront Theatre as part of the Vancouver Cultural Olympiad. All very exciting. From there, I head to the ECMAs.
When the ECMA weekend is over, I’m off to Labrador City to start a tour of Newfoundland and Labrador with Damhnait Doyle. We’ll be playing all over the province. I can’t wait. You can check my website for details.
That’s what’s going on in my world. Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve been in touch. I’ve been living a very domestic life as of late. Layin low and doing lots and lots of writing. Hit factory… hahaha.
I hope you’re all doing well. Thanks so much for your help with that ECMA fan choice award and everything else. Your support means a lot.
