Happy New Year, everyone! I love this time of year; making resolutions, getting all geared up for another year and also enjoying some crucial downtime at home. I’m so enjoying it. But first I just wanted to thank you for all your support in 2018. It was an amazing year. We played super sweet shows at the Montreal Jazz Festival, the Philadelphia Folk Festival, toured in Quebec a bunch and I released my first French record (which was listed as one of the 50 Best Albums of the Year by ICI Musique!!) I also started a weekly radio show on CKUA called Myles From Home which airs Saturdays at 8am AST, and released my first book called Santa Never Brings Me A Banjo. It hit the shelves in November and I couldn’t be more proud. To end all this sweetness we had our biggest Singing For Supper Tour ever, raising $15,774 for New Brunswick food banks. Not bad.
And 2019 is looking pretty rad too. I’ve got more Quebec dates coming up, many of which are part of a Harry Belafonte tribute show/album I’m doing with a group of super-talented artists including Florence K and Alex Cuba. We’ll be touring in Ontario and in the U.S., so keep your eye on the website for those announcements!
