Well, I’m pleased to say that my first show in the UK was a sweet one. Amazing really. Opened for Jools Holland in a beautiful park in Taunton this past Saturday. Over 4000 thousand people there and it went really well. We had a blast. Got to meet Jools himself. He was a total dude. Really nice and he put on a killer show. He tours with a huge big band filled with smoking players. 20 people on stage. One of the trombone players, who I ended up hanging with for quite a while post show, is a reggae legend named Rico Rodriguez. He’s played with the Skatallites, The Specials, and Bob Marley himself. He had so many wild stories, it was awesome. I’m just chilling in London now. Doing some writing and enjoying this great city. Ry Cooder, one of my absolute favourites is playing tonight with Nick Lowe (another favourite of mine). I’m going to try to pick up some tickets. We’ll see. Here’s a photo from the show. Good times.
talk to you soon,
