Turn Time Off – Scene Magazine

April 21, 2010

As a multi-hyphenate musician (jazz/folk/pop) East Coast musician David Myles has made it clear over his past few discs that he can do it all. Refreshingly, on Turn Time Off he, along with producer Joel Plaskett, have fashioned a mostly straight pop record with Myles the crooner buddying up to Myles the pop maven. The results are impressive in an understated fashion, resulting in a soulful occasionally meditative pop album with strong 2:47am listening potential. Long live modest ambitions, well delivered. — Bob Klanac Performance: B+/Production: B+
